Baby Boy is Here!!!

Sorry for the blog silence, lost steam at the end of my pregnancy.  My little guy arrived on 5-8-12, healthy and happy.  Not much sleep here in the Always Organizing house, but we would not have it any other way.  Meet KBS!!!

Hi All,

Another weekend flew past! I feel like I do so much around the house but it is not looking
any more "done". Frustrating. I know we will get there. Patience is not one of my strongest
virtues :)

The little man is moving, kicking and punching me up a storm. I was playing some music on You Tube and it was funny to watch him move when I put some fast paced classical music on. This whole "growing a person" thing is amazing.

Leave it to Martha...

Happy Wednesday! I have been going through old magazines to cut out the pages I want to keep in my inspiration binders. I came across this adorable idea in Martha Stewart Living. It is a height chart made out of wooden rod, so adorable! I am a little obsessed with the idea of doing a growth chart for my kids and being able to take it with us wherever we live (not that we are moving anytime soon, but I don't want to put it directly on a wall). This idea is just so clever, love Martha!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just checking in on a Tuesday morning to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day! The hubs and I are having a low key night at home. Our last as a duo :)

26 Weeks...

Where is the time going??? I'm 26 weeks along and feeling good. A little stressed out with everything I want to get done around the house and nursery. I don't recommend moving into a new house and having your baby right around the same time ;) Actually, it really will be ok. I feel very blessed to be having my first child and the house will get done when it gets done.

We have made a lot of progress. The key thing is to get the nursery done. I actually just hired my fabulous wedding photographer Suzanne Sutcliffe to do newborn/family shots when the little guy gets here. Now the pressure is on to finish the nursery so we can take pictures in there! It is painted and I know how I want everything set up. Just need to get going on buying the furniture. Good times!

Fierce...

How fierce are these gold wedges from Lilly Pulitzer? Not that my 6 month pregnant behind will be rocking them anytime soon, but a girl can dream...

Nursery Planning...

I have most of the nursery already planned in my head. I found adorable bedding at Pottery Barn Kids (it is sold out online, but the are getting 4 quilts in this week and my local PB kids will hold one for me). I will post a pic once I have it. The walls are going to be a leafy green (still need to pick the paint) and the curtains will be this zig zag fabric. I think we are going to buy a simple white crib and dresser to use as a changing table. I may also get a low white bookcase and plan to fill the room with fun accessories that will be used for toy storage etc. So fun to plan!!!

2012...

Happy New Year!!! Ok, so I'm a few days late :) The hubs and I had a nice NYE dinner out followed by hanging at a bar managed by a friend of ours. Cranberry juice and seltzer for preggo me! I think 2012 is going to be a great year. I don't have too many resolutions this year. A healthy pregnancy, getting my new home as organized as possible and spending as much time with my dear hubby as I can. How about you?

It's a BOY!!!

We are thrilled to be expecting a baby boy :) Our little guy will be arriving around May 1st so I need to get going on the nursery. I will take before and after pics and definitely share the process as it comes together.

Buying a house...

Getting Pregnant!

Seriously, the pregnancy came right before the house and we could not be more excited. I am a little over 4 months pregnant now and feeling good. Feels good to be back in blogland!

Whew!

Such a whirlwind month! We closed on our house in late September. I can't wait to share before and after pics. We are going to paint the whole interior and I'm finalizing paint colors now. So much to do and to pack. Can't believe how much stuff we have in our apartment, it's nuts.

Craving Fall...

Fall is just around the corner. It has gotten cooler at night and stays a little darker later in the morning. This Shep Shirt from Vineyard Vines would be the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe!!!

Irene..

Hurricane Irene hit the East Coast this weekend. The hubs and I live far enough inland to not be impacted by the floods but we have plenty of friends who have been deeply impacted. Sending lots of prayers to those impacted that the water recedes quickly and the power comes back on!!!

Flying Colors...

The home inspection went pretty smoothly. A few issues that we are going to go back and ask the seller to fix. While the hubs was following the inspector around getting all the info, I was photographing and measuring kitchen cabinets, pantries, closets, etc. Priorities ;)

I even took a picture of the inside of the fridge so I can remember what it looks like inside. Yes, I realize that is a bit nuts but a girl needs a plan, right?
